Whether it's a corporate logo, a flagship product or new service offering, branding plays a pivotal role in consumer awareness.
I work with a client to understand an organization's culture, what their prime objectives are, who they are marketing to. Branding can be a subtle yet powerful tool to reflect these complex characteristics.
When designing a brand or a logo, I make an effort to reflect the nature of the business. A logo needs to convey a distinct message but not be so intricate that a consumer gets lost in the details. Simple equals memorable.
My standard practice is to develop a set of mockups (approx. 3) for evaluation. One design takes the structured route (idea method), one design takes the free-form route (experiment method) and one takes an integrated approach (fusion method).
Once a client has chosen a particular design, I then take that design and generate multiple different versions for print, web, television and other media. I render full color, three color, grayscale and black & white versions of the branding. I also perform color separation in RGB, CMYK and Pantone color schemes. This ensures that there will be a version of the brand/logo to suit virutally all media needs.
